Summary:
Current project aims to find and validate innovative solutions in order to develop an upgraded experimental model and a prototype for an „Integrated system for the dynamic rating of high voltage electric power transmission lines based on the online monitoring of operating and environmental parameters”, with direct application in the power field.
The upgrade of the system from level TRL 4 to TRL5 will be done by further development and supplementing the existing system of online monitoring of high-voltage overhead lines – NOVA OHLM (through research, development, testing and validating new hardware and software solutions) in order to provide the technology for overhead lines dynamic loading (DLR) depending on: environmental parameters, the power lines technical condition and respectively the primary apparatus technical characteristics (circuit breakers, disconnectors, current transformers) related to the transmission line connection circuits to the substations at both ends of the line.
The method’s originality consists in mixing several knowledge areas (IT&C, sensors, data transmission, etc.) and testing / validating various methods and models.
Project stages:
1. Elaboration of the experimental model documentation. Design of the experimental model
2. Realization and experimentation of the experimental model
3. Finalization of the technical specification, elaboration of the technical documentation, design of the prototype. Realization and experimentation of the prototype, protection of industrial property
4. Ineligible activities: Dissemination of results, participation in technical-scientific events, etc.
Phase 1 results:
ACTIVITY 1.1.: Elaboration of the documentation of the experimental model;
ACTIVITY 1.2.: Project / design of the experimental model.
During the first phase of the project there were established the current technical requirements (at international and national level), for the experimental model of the on-line monitoring equipment of the operating parameters of the overhead power lines, absolutely necessary for the application of the dynamic rating model of the high voltage overhead power lines. It was completed the experimental project.
Phase 2 results:
ACTIVITY 2.1 .: Realization of the experimental model;
ACTIVITY 2.2 .: Experimenting the proposed model / solution.
At the second phase , there were completed the design, realization and testing of the experimental model for the monitoring system of high voltage overhead power lines.

During the third phase, there were completed the activities of elaboration / finalization of technical specification for the OHL monitoring system, elaboration of the prototype project, realization / experimentation and verification of the prototype, protection of the industrial property rights.

During the fourth phase, there were completed the activities for disseminating the results, participating in technical-scientific events.
